Mr. Kershner joined the Mansfield Township Elementary School as Principal on August 1, 2008. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware. Coming from a long line of educators, he chose to pursue his elementary teaching certification at Rowan University. Upon completion of the program, he began working in the Cherry Hill School District as a fifth and sixth grade teacher. During that time, Mr. Kershner continued his education at Rowan University and was awarded his Master's Degree in School Administration. Upon completion of the program, he was hired as the Vice-Principal of two schools (K-4 and K-6) in Mantua Township, New Jersey.
His prior curricular experience includes standards based math, writer's workshop, and balanced literacy. Other administrative experience includes data analysis, curriculum development, public relations, and supervision.
Mr. Kershner currently resides in Gloucester County, New Jersey with his wife, two daughters, and son. On the weekends, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. GO EAGLES!
